Homemade Salsa

Now you can make your own restaurant-style salsa at home!  It takes about 5 minutes and a food processor.



Ingredients:
  • 16oz crushed tomato
  • 10oz can of Rotel tomato & diced chili
  • 1/3c diced yellow onion
  • 1 seeded, diced jalapeno
  • 1/4c cilantro
  • 1/4c lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp each salt, white or black pepper, cumin and sugar
  1. Place everything in the food processor, pulse until desired consistency.  Taste and add additional seasoning if needed.
I made this to go with chicken fajitas (see recipe post, also from today) and there was plenty leftover to enjoy with chips and salsa, or perhaps another dish, later this weekend!
